Jewish Midi Music

Jewish music reflects the history of the Jewish people and the places of the world in which they have lived.  There is not just one sound, but many.  Similarly, the languages in which Jewish people have sung are many, and reflect their wide dispersion.   Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino, German, English, Spanish -- Jewish music has always been sung in the tongues of their host lands.

This page contains a number of beautiful Jewish melodies that have been recorded using midi technology, and are in the public domain for use.  To hear a melody, simply click on the hyperlink of your choice.  If a new media player opens each time you access a selection, close the player after each selection in order to avoid accumulating them on your desktop. If you do not hear the tune, change the settings on your Internet browser to select an appropriate media player.
